Description
The Mechanical Rot is a command-spawned enemy only. It has slow speeds and disastrous abilities. Being packed with abilities that can stun towers, destroy units, and also spawn in other high-health enemies, the Mechanical Rot can be a major problem to unprepared defenses. Not to mention its high amount of health and immunity to most slowing towers.
The Mechanical Rot's Hallowed Laugh and Deadly Harvest abilities allows it to spawn many enemies at once, such as the Zombie, Mummy, Ghost, Witch, Scarecrow, Demon, Lagoon Monster, Frankenstein, Dracula, and the Rotten Jaxe.
The Mechanical Rot is a returning enemy from the Hidden Wave.
Appearance
The Mechanical Rot is what appears to be a rotting version of the Jack O' Bot, hence its name. Its outer pumpkin shell has been badly damaged, especially in its torso and head areas, exposing robotic parts from within its body. Its body is massively covered in grass-like strands, presumably from its old age and rough environments. Pumpkins have also been strapped to its body with the strands of grass aswell.
The Mechanical Rot is a gigantic old robotic humanoid armed with a laser machine gun and an arm cannon. Its pumpkin is dirtied, with a devilish smile carved onto its face. Excluding the giant hole in the pumpkin, the pumpkin's face emits a yellow glow, with one orange eye visible. It has a skull below its torso, and a now broken metal plate on its chest.
Strategy
- The Mechanical Rot is a high-health boss that can spawn in other high-health enemies. Towers like the Golden Minigunner, Turret, Ranger, and Accelerator are recommended for fighting this boss, due to their high DPS.
- The Commander's Call to Arms ability can be utilized to give nearby tower a boost in damage, increasing their effectiveness. The Commander can only achieve this ability from Level 2 onward.
- The Mechanical Rot is immune to all towers that can slow it down. As such, these towers are less effective against it.
- This will include Freezing towers, like the Freezer, Frost Blaster, and Sledger, who are rendered useless against the Mechanical Rot due to its Freeze immunity.
- The Electroshocker/Warden are also less effective against the Mechanical Rot, due to its Energy immunity. However, these towers can still slow it down for a short period of time instead of stopping it altogether. But this will only be for a shorter amount of time when compared to a smaller-sized enemy, due to the Mechanical Rot's enormous size.
- The Toxic Gunner's slowdown also does not work on the Mechanical Rot because of its immunity to Poison.

- Be ready to fight the enemies spawned by the Mechanical Rot when it activates its Deadly Harvest ability. These enemies can be very catastrophic if not taken out quickly.
- Air and cliff towers are unaffected by all of the Mechanical Rot's abilities, making them more useful against it.
