Introduction

Hello user, and welcome to TDSFC's rule page! Whether you're a new user checking out the rules before creating, or a member recaping on the rules - you are to make sure the rules are read in full.

These rules are in place to safeguard the wiki - or to prevent anything undesirable happening, and to keep the TDSFC wiki a safe place for people and users alike. Failure to comply with any of these rules will result in disciplinary action being taken.

Information

Rules are put in to four different categories to make understanding them less complicated.

These four categories are:

Temporary Rules

Temporary rules are rules that are set in place for a timespan that isn't permanent. The verdict taken on those who break these rules may vary - but are usually considered as a Serious act.

Minor Acts

Rules that do not affect the wiki, its staff, people's work and/or wellbeing in a way that isn't severe when broken are considered Minor Acts. When these rules is broken, a reminder is left on the user's message wall. If repeated, then up to 3 warnings are left on the users message wall, which will then be followed by a temporary starting block, if these rules are broken again despite all reminders and warnings given.

By breaking multiple of these rules at once, or breaking these rules on a consistent basis, all reprimands taken will be treated in a similar way to Major Acts.

Major Acts

Rules that affect the wiki, its staff, people's work and/or wellbeing negatively, but not detrimentally, when broken are considered Major acts. When rules under the Major act category is broken, the perpetrators will receive a warning under the discretion of the staff member who is giving the punishment, and will subsequently be followed with a temporary block. Alternatively, users may be blocked immediately without any given warnings.

By breaking multiple of these rules at once, or breaking these rules on a consistent basis, all reprimands taken will be treated in a similar way to Serious Acts.

Serious Acts

Rules that affect the wiki, its staff, peoples work and/or wellbeing detrimentally when broken are considered Serious Acts. Serious acts are not to be taken lightly, as no reminders OR warnings are issued before blocks are administered. People who break rules categorised under serious acts are to be treated with a temporary block that lasts for an extended period of time, or an indefinite (permanent) block.

By breaking multiple of these rules at once, or breaking these rules on a consistent basis, perpetrators will be given a permanent IP ban.

Now that all the different categories of rules are covered, the rules are now able to be covered.

NOTICE - PLEASE READ

Though the usage of TDS assets in models are not banned as of now, from 10/12/22 onward, all pages that contain models with TDS assets will need a spoiler at the header of the page that states the following verbatim:

"Models included on this page contain TDS assets distributed by one or more third parties that are created for the intent of artistic depiction. The creator of this page does not intend on using these assets for profit and all TDS assets belong to their rightful shareholders (Paradoxum Games). Any requests to take down this page made by Paradoxum Game's staff members are to be taken up to CCyb3rr or any other bureaucrats."

As of 7/12/22, staff members are devising an effective way of banning illegal assets without causing any backlash from members of the wiki.

Temporary Rules

Harassment toward Arcticseal156

Harassment toward Arcticseal156, the founder, is currently prohibited under any and all conditions. They are currently taking a break from server ownership due to events in their personal life. The staff team requests that you do not attack them in any way, shape or form.

This rule is active until further notice.

[Penalty: A 4 month long block at the bare minimum, but can escalate towards a permanent block.]

Not addressing illegal assets

Pages that contain models with illegal assets, including those that belong to TDS, and do not address them in any way will be marked as a candidate for deletion as a last resort. This will only happen after users are given a reminder and numerous warnings.

This rule is active until an alternative to TDS/illegal assets can be created.

[Penalty: Reminder + 2 warnings, following with the deletion of all affected pages and a starting block time of 3 days.]

Creating duplicate wikis

This wiki is the main hub for any wiki-related content that pertains to the topic of TDS Fanmade media and intends to stay as so. The only two TDS Fan-made wikis that are to exist are this one and the legacy wiki, made by MaltiSlender103. Any other wiki created without any given permission from the founder are to be taken down immediately

[Penalty: Removal of duplicate wiki + 1 month block for all involved individuals and/or parties.]

Minor Acts

Spamming

Excessively sending messages, creating pages, or posting content unrelated to TDS or any ongoing discussion is considered spam and will be treated as such. This also includes creating pages to ask questions or to start discussions. All forms of spam are deleted upon review

[Penalty: Reminder + 2 warnings, following with the deletion of all affected pages/posts and a starting block time of one week.]

Pestering Members

Users are not to annoy other users with pointless/repeated messages - which could also be taken as spam or even harassment - which is a Serious Act. On the TDS Fanmade Content Wiki, we hope to see members enjoying themselves and expressing their creativity without any adverse effects. Content that may annoy other users include:

  • Begging for moderator permissions
  • Persistently requesting for resources from other members of the wiki
  • Creating lyric-based "diss-tracks" on different users
  • Minor trolling
  • Unnecessary banter
  • Spam

Any messages that are reported to have broken this rule are to be reviewed by staff members before any further actions are to be taken

[Penalty: One warning, following with a starting block time of 1-2 weeks.]

Direct/Excessive Swearing

While swearing on the wiki is allowed, swearing excessively or directly swearing at another member is prohibited. The TDS Fanmade Content wiki shouldn't be a place for toxicity and conflict, but rather harmony and joy.

[Penalty: Two warnings, following with a starting block time of 2 weeks.]

Removing Warnings/Reminders

Warnings and reminders are there to ensure a user doesn't repeat any illegal actions. By removing them, you are making moderation harder for staff members.

[Penalty: One warning, following with a starting block time of 2 weeks]

Major Acts

Consistently breaking Minor rules

The rules exist to be followed. Repeatedly breaking minor rules will result in reprimands being handed out.

[Penalty: A starting block time of 2 weeks.]

Editing pages without consent

To be clear, you can add necessary categories to other peoples pages (I.E - Content, enemy and tower categories) and can correct grammar, but adding or removing large amounts of information from other people's pages without their consent is forbidden.

[Penalty: One warning, following with a starting block time of 2 weeks - 1 month, depending on the severity of the issue.]

Sensitive Topics

Any pages, blogs or posts that intend on discussing any sensitive subjects in-depth or debating on sensitive subjects are banned - these include, but aren't limited to:

  • Politics
  • LGBTQ+
  • NSFW Content
  • The Holocaust
  • Racism and Discrimination
  • Religion

All involved discussion posts will be locked and all involved pages are marked as a candidate for deletion. Please ensure to keep the wiki free of any sensitive topics - as they may offend others.

[Penalty: One warning, following with a starting block time of 3 weeks - 1 month.]

Serious Acts

Consistently breaking Major rules

The rules exist to be followed. Repeatedly breaking major rules will result in reprimands being handed out.

[Penalty: A block time of 6 months - cannot be appealed.]

Consistently breaking Serious rules

The rules exist to be followed. Repeatedly breaking serious rules will result in reprimands being handed out.

[Penalty: Permanent IP ban - cannot be appealed.]

Stealing Content

Though users have the creative liberty to create whatever they want (as long as it sticks to the rules) there are still standards that need to be followed. Stealing content is absolutely unacceptable, and will not be tolerated. This also includes plagiarism.

If an image from online has been used, please ensure to cite the image somewhere on your page.

However, if you have taken any content from someone without their permission, your page will still be treated like any other page that has stolen content, even if you have credited the owner of said content.

[Penalty: One optional warning, following with a starting block time of 2 weeks - indefinite, unappealable block, depending on the severity of the issue.]

Adhering to Fandom's Age Restriction

Although we hope to allow users of all ages onto the wiki, it violates COPPA laws and Fandom's TOS. We must abide by them, so all users confirmed to be under 13 are to be blocked.

[Penalty: Indefinite ban until user in question reached the legal age to use Fandom's services - cannot be appealed.]

Harassment and Toxicity

The TDS fan wiki is a safe space for people to create in peace without the threat of any other users attacking them. Examples of harassment and/or toxicity are:

  • Trolling other users
  • Excessively pestering other users
  • Toxicity towards other users
  • Witch-hunting
  • Boycotting or encouraging others to boycott other users
  • Excessively insulting other users
  • Deconstructive criticism
  • Causing drama
  • Any messages that are reported to have broken this rule are to be reviewed by staff members before any further actions are to be taken.

[Penalty: One optional warning, following with a starting block time of 2 weeks - indefinite, unappealable block, depending on the severity of the issue.]

NSFW, Shock Content and Gore

Many members of the TDS Fanmade Content Wiki are underage, which is something to be taken into account - as exposing them to NSFW content can be damaging to their mental health and leaves lasting damage.

[Penalty: Block time of 3 months - indefinite, depending on the severity of the issue.]

Inappropriate user info

As a follow-up to our NSFW rule, a NSFW or suggestive username and profile breaks the NSFW rule.

[Penalty: An indefinite block until the user removes all NSFW content]

Impersonation

Impersonation of major content creators, staff members and TDS staff may cause several moderation issues - which may escalate into legal issues at worst. If your impersonation is satire, please make that clear through your profile page.

[Penalty: Block time of 6 months - indefinite, depending on the severity of the issue.]

Vandalism

The TDS Fanmade Content Wiki is a place for users to express their creativity without the threat of losing their work to anyone.

[Penalty: Block time of 4 months - indefinite, depending on the severity of the issue.]

Distribution and showcasing of illegal assets

While using illegal assets, AS OF NOW, isn't a punishable offense; the distribution and showcasing of them is, and will not be treated lightly. Please do note that using illegal assets isn't an example of showing them - however, as an example, if you were to show off a model from the toolbox that contains multiple illegal assets, that counts as showcasing and will be met with reprimands.

[Penalty: indefinite block - cannot be appealed.]

Staff Abuse

As a staff member, it is your duty to ensure that order is maintained on the wiki, and to make sure it is a safe place for others to freely create. By abusing your staff permissions, you have failed at your single task and will be stripped of all moderator permissions.

[Penalty: Removal of all staff permissions and a 2 month block]

Sockpuppeting

Also known as ban evading, sockpuppeting is a blocked users attempt at making their way back onto the wiki through alternate accounts and the like.

[Penalty: Permanent IP ban - cannot be appealed.]

Raiding

Planning and/or conducting raids on this wiki, other wikis or on third party platforms is strictly prohibited and most certainly wont be taken lightly. This paints a bad image for the wiki, and anyone who intends on raiding, no matter their reputation, will not be welcome here.

[Penalty: Permanent IP ban - cannot be appealed.]
