UNDERGOING RECONSTRUCTION

Vanguard International (VI) is a private military company featured in High Value Target, serving as the main antagonistic faction. It is the world's largest and most powerful PMC, with headquarters on every continent. Vanguard has not only led operations against crime and terrorism but has also excelled in security consulting, risk management, international aid, finance, and arms manufacturing. It is renowned for its exceptionally skilled teams and high mission success rates.

History[]

erm

Known Operations[]

Operation Golden Arrow[]

  • Carried out an assassination attempt on Andrei Makarov, an infamous Raider officer. This failed catastrophically, resulting in the destruction of the Golden Pavilion and the death of Vanguard's assassin, among many other casualties and damages.

Operation Blacksite Blitz[]

  • Launched an attack on the Snowshroud Research Facility, with the intent of destroying the facility. Some success was achieved but the attack was ultimately aborted after most Vanguard forces perished. This is considered Vanguard's hugest loss so far.

Defense of Utah Command Centre[]

  • Vanguard security teams defended the Utah Command Centre from oncoming Raider forces led by Andrei Makarov. The situation became catastrophic very quickly, leading to the activation of the WOLFRAM Protocol. With the aid from WOLFRAM, the Raiders were defeated but Vanguard suffered massive damages to personnel and infrastructure.

Operation Murkywater[]

  • Launched an assault on an abandoned oil rig located in the Gulf of Mexico. The oil rig contained blueprints and prototypes of chemical weapons being developed by PhanSec (and by extension Mirage Group). The operation was successful, with all PhanSec personnel onboard killed and the rig destroyed with explosives. The explosion was covered up as an accident.

Operation Phoenix Undoing[]

  • Initiated a full-scale assault on Dante Rodriguez's hideout after a 5-year-long search of the location. The operation succeeded with Rodriguez being killed, though many Vanguard operators, including those from WOLFRAM, were killed during the numerous firefights.

Operation Final Arrow[]

  • WOLFRAM operators were deployed in the Raider Seclusion Zone to kill the notorious leader of the Raiders — The Boss — and prevent him from activating the Firework Barrage. Many operators were killed, and the mission was aborted after the Firework Barrage was activated.

Personnel[]

Operators[]

Vanguard's operators are heavily armed, highly efficient, and by no surprise extremely dangerous. Their choice of weapons consists of modern weapons, with the KRISS Vector and the SIG MCX Virtus being their primary firearms. Operators are distinguished by their black and orange combat jackets with Vanguard's patch on both arms and black plate carriers with magazines, glowsticks, grenades, and other equipment. They also wear black FAST helmets with black balaclavas and shades, with night vision goggles also worn.

WOLFRAM[]

WOLFRAM is Vanguard International's emergency operations unit acting under the direct orders of the Vesper Command. It is a black ops squad of highly trained operators who also received cybernetic enhancements to their bodies. They are the magnum opus of Vanguard International's armed forces, a testament to the company's technological advancements.

WOLFRAM is only deployed if a Vanguard facility is under attack and the facility's Chief of Security has deemed the situation unsalvageable. In any case, the Chief will initiate the WOLFRAM Protocol and a distress signal will be sent to the nearest WOLFRAM base. Before WOLFRAM's arrival, the Chief must evacuate all non-combat personnel from the building as they will be treated as targets by WOLFRAM and will be terminated on sight.

WOLFRAM operators are equipped with the same gear as normal operators, albeit with some minor modifications. Their jackets are fully black instead of black and orange, and the Vanguard patch on their arms is dark red instead of orange. All WOLFRAM operators wear a black full-face metal mask designed to encrypt and distort their voices; only those wearing the same masks can decipher the voices.
